After months of preparation, sleepless nights of problem-solving, and a truly great and heroic performance in UWRC 2020, our team proudly earned the Best Proposal Shield. This award was not just a trophy, but a symbol of the hard work, creativity, and determination we poured into every stage of the competition—from research and design to testing and presentation. It marked one of our earliest milestones in underwater robotics and gave us the confidence to keep aiming higher in every challenge that followed.
The Underwater Robotics Competition (UWRC) is an annual student competition hosted by the Military Technical College in Cairo, Egypt. It brings together university teams from across Egypt and other countries to design and build Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) capable of completing missions inspired by real-world naval, industrial, and environmental applications. Since its launch, UWRC has become one of the region’s most recognized robotics competitions, aiming to encourage innovation, teamwork, and the application of engineering knowledge in underwater systems.
